![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah I used to have an A1C of 11 for four years. By the way I am 378 pounds (down from 422). Fung even has some of his patients fast for 7 to 14 days straight (initially). I haven't tried a longer fast than 18 hours and I've read and others on another forum have suggested I do a longer fast to improve the blood sugars. I've never had a blood test for Chromium and don't know how accurate they are, but perhaps I should have one before I take the supplement? Or should I just try the supplment and see if my blood sugars improve? I know it's a long shot, but I wonder if I am Chromium defficient. I am wondering if I took the Chromium if my blood sugars would magically improve. I've also dropped my 2000 mg of Metformin 24 days ago, and have maintained the same blood sugar levels without the Metformin (goodbye diarrhea, hello unchanged blood sugars). Lost 44 pounds as well.Įating 1600 calories a day (10% carbs, 20% protein, 70% healthy fats), I can only maintain a blood sugar range of 110 to 135 mg/dL all day, without any insulin (used to inject 120 units at one point when I was on a high carb, low fat diet). I had an A1C of 9 to 11 for the past four years, but have been on a LCHF 18:6 IF diet for the past couple months and my blood sugar is now under A1C of 6. I haven't bought it yet but thinking about it. Rosedale recommends 1000mcg per day and even more for heavier people - I'm morbidly obese. Any success with this supplement? If so, what was your dosage? I read Dr. ![]()
